Ivan G. aka DJ Tone13
DJ Ivan G. aka Tone13 has been shaking people's asses with his deep house turntable grooves for the last 20 years. In both the hottest and the most underground clubs in San Diego, New York City, Chicago and D.C., Ivan G. is known for some of the best parties and raves of the 1990s.
In addition to currently spinning at Science Club and other local venues, Ivan is a talented musician and producer who brings strong jazz, blues, and funk influences into his unique house sound.
By day, he can be found working at Blues Alley, D.C.'s premier jazz venue. By night, when he is not avidly practicing his upright bass, saxophone or piano techniques, you can find him creating unique electronic music compositions that defy genre, but always make your head nod.
Ivan G. works with many jazz, electronica and house musicians in the D.C. area, and is partnered with Dan Soda as Deepsixteen, who will release their first house EP later this year.
Ivan G. is the president and founder of Tone13 Music, a music production company and independent music label. Tone13 Music produced The Underground Sound of D.C., and will release more collaborative electronica projects in 2009.
